One of the major traditions associated with the 4th of July is fireworks! Here is a quick breakdown of some of the displays around Colorado in case you haven’t made any plans yet.
In the Denver Area:
-Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, these start immediately after the conclusion of the Rapids soccer game
-Mile High Stadium, these start immediately after the conclusion of the Denver Outlaws lacrosse game
-Civic Center Park located at Broadway and Colfax, display starts approximately 8pm on July 3rd
-Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park, fireworks start at dusk
Northern Colorado:
-Greeley Stampede (Island Grove Regional Park, Greeley ,CO), starts approximately 9:30pm (personal favorite, everyone should check this display out at least once)
-City Park Fireworks Celebration over Sheldon Lake (City Park, Ft Collins, CO), starts at approximately 9:30pm
Southern Colorado:
-Downtown Manitou Springs, CO, fireworks begin around 9pm
-Rolling on the Riverwalk (Pueblo, CO), fireworks begin after the Pueblo Symphony which begins at 8pm
-Ft Carson’s 4th on the 3rd (Colorado Springs, CO), display starts around 9:30pm on July 3rd, other festivities start around 4pm
Mountain Areas:
-Aspen Mountain (Aspen, Colorado), fireworks start around 9:15pm
-Harry Nottingham Park (Avon, Colorado), fireworks begin 9:45pm on July 3rd
-Centennial Park (Beaver Creek, Colorado), fireworks begin 9:30pm
-Riverwalk Center (Breckenridge, Colorado), fireworks begin 9:45pm
-Dillon Reservoir (Frisco, Colorado), fireworks begin 9:30pm
-Howelsen Hill (Steamboat, Colorado), fireworks begin 9pm
-Hideaway Park (Winter Park, Colorado), fireworks start at dusk
